How can you install solar panels for your home?

How can you install solar panels for your home? Restart the solar.

In recent years, green energy (i.e. energy that comes from renewable sources) has become more than just a trend. It has become a necessity, both for us and for our planet. That’s why we decided to talk a little about how to install solar panels for your home. Why would you want that? And what would be the advantages of such a move?

In this article we will discuss all these topics, but first let’s start from the beginning.

What are solar panels? And how does it work?

Also known as photovoltaic panels, solar panels are easier to understand than you think. A solar panel is made up of rows of special cells that capture the sun’s heat and turn it into usable energy. Depending on the type of cells used (monocrystalline, amorphous, etc.), the solar panel differs in quality, but also in price. Likewise, depending on the type of cell, we choose the right solar panel for our home.

Alternatively we can opt for thermal panels. These are also solar panels that use collectors (more precisely cylinders) that capture solar heat and use it to heat the house, water, etc.

Solar panels for the home: how do we choose photovoltaic panels?

As I said, solar panels are divided into different types. Of course the most important are photovoltaic and thermal panels, so we will focus on them in this section.

Speaking of photovoltaic and thermal panels…

The cells of photovoltaic panels have the special property of transforming the direct current of the sun’s rays into alternating current. This property is also known as photovoltaic effect.

Depending on the level of lighting and temperature your property is exposed to, you can choose solar panels for your home.

  • Monocrystalline panels they are by far the most effective, but also the most expensive. Dark gray in colour, they are 4 times more efficient than other solar panels. It also resists high temperatures.
  • Multicrystalline (or polycrystalline) panels. they have lower efficiency, but also a lower price. They have a blue hue and do not withstand intense temperatures like monocrystalline panels.
  • Thin film panels (thin layer) they are preferable when you want to cover a large or irregular surface, because they are very flexible. Another advantage of thin panels is that they are not affected by shade and resist high temperatures well.
  • Amorphous panels (hybrid) they are similar to monocrystalline cells, with the difference that behind the layer of monocrystalline cells there is also a layer of amorphous solar film. They are usually recommended for limited surfaces, but they are particularly effective. The amorphous film layer helps evade solar energy even in foggy/shaded conditions, and the amorphous panels also offer the ability to use solar heat to heat water.

Thermal solar panels (flat or evacuated tubes) capture the sun’s heat to heat domestic water, swimming pools, etc.

How much energy will the panel system produce?

Depending on the cycle of the seasons, your solar panels will produce more or less energy from one month to the next. To understand how much energy your home needs you can consult your latest energy bill.

If the photovoltaic panels do not produce all the energy needed in a month, it is a good idea to be connected to the energy network, so that it can be integrated. When they produce more than you need, you can sell the energy back into the grid. Of course, the price you get depends on the laws in force, but it is about a third of the price you currently buy from the energy supplier.

Solar panel installation: what do you need?

Before installing solar panels for your home, there are some legal issues to consider.

  • Financing. First of all, you will want to obtain financing (usually with the help of a specialized European program), so that you do not have to pay the price of the photovoltaic panels out of pocket.
  • Urban planning certificate, opinions, environmental agreements, authorizations, etc. The most unpleasant part of the whole process is the bureaucratic one. To install photovoltaic panels in a house you need the ISU authorization, the connection certificate, the technical approval for the connection, the approval of the supplier’s site, the approval of the sanitation services… And the list goes on! However, the installation of solar panels is increasingly widespread and affordable for users.

Installation of photovoltaic panels

Who installs photovoltaic panels? If you want solar panels for your home, but don’t know who to turn to, continue reading.

We at Restart Energy have started a photovoltaic panel project that couldn’t be simpler. We help you quickly choose the type of solar panels for your home, and then become energy independent.

What is the procedure for installing solar panels?

By installing photovoltaic panels you can actually produce the electricity your home needs. And not only that. Since you cannot decide how much energy the photovoltaic panels produce, you have the option of reselling the energy you don’t need or putting it back into the grid.

Why choose Restart Energy?

We are sure that you could handle the installation of the panels yourself. But it would take a lot of time and effort that you could use for something else. The Restart Energy offer helps you choose solar panels for your home in just a few minutes.

Simply choose the type of panels you want, the energy level you want, and we’ll take care of the rest. Of course, a specialist will contact you to discuss the details and schedule the installation.

But we get new financing and take care of all the documents you need. Certificates, opinions, authorizations… and so on.

Are you ready to be a prosumer?

Prosumer. That is, producer and consumer at the same time. When you install photovoltaic solar panels, you do multiple things at once.

You create your own energy and save. The less energy you consume from the grid, the less you will pay.

You earn money. For the months in which you contribute to the Restart electricity network you are compensated.

Help the planet. More importantly, when you install solar panels for your home, you are using energy from a renewable source. And this manages the limited resources of our planet. And what could be more important than our own home?

Are you ready? In a few simple steps you can become part of the program Restart the solar. Are you still curious? We are waiting for you with a message or a phone call, because we are always here to help you!
