Choose our ENERGIE ELECTRICA offer: the order to simplify the process

If you haven’t changed your electricity supplier so far, there’s no need to despair. A new decision issued by the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) informs that suppliers of last resort have until 30 June 2021 to offer the best price for electricity to customers who have not yet changed supplier.

What does this mean for Romanians who have not changed supplier?

The decision taken during the ANRE meeting on Wednesday 20 January provides that Romanians who have not yet changed their electricity supplier can do so through a simplified procedure until 30 June. Until then, the current supplier is obliged by the current decision to offer domestic consumers the best electricity price go subscription and without any obligation. Furthermore, the current provider is obliged by this decision to offer a substantial discount to customers, which will cover the difference between the lowest offer on the market and the universal service offer applicable in the first half of 2021.

At the same time ANRE simplifies the process of changing energy supplier. Therefore, the current supplier is obliged to send with every invoice issued before June 30, 2021 a selection form with the competitive offerthus informing consumers and helping them make a decision. The customer will then be able to choose the new energy supplier from this form and is obliged to complete the form and send it to the supplier.

Careful: the form completed and signed by the customer represents his legal agreement to change supplier.

Once the form has been received, the new supplier will complete the rest of the legal process for changing supplier and will send the customer a copy of the contract within 5 working days.

How can you take advantage of the best electricity prices?

Choose our ENERGIE ELECTRICA offer: the order to simplify the process

Thanks to this decision by the ANRE, changing supplier has become easier than ever, but many Romanians remain confused: how to choose the right supplier that will allow you to enjoy the best electricity price?

Step 1. Get informed. Even if the form sent by the supplier helps you in your choice, it would be better to inform yourself and find out about the best suppliers on the market. Just because the supplier is obligated to provide you with the best deal they have, that doesn’t mean it’s also the best deal on the market.

Did you know? Currently, Restart the power is in the Top 3 of the best electricity providers in Romania, occupying 1st place in several counties.

Step 2. Find the best deal. Once you’ve identified the right provider for you, research their offerings until you find the best one.

At Restart Energy you can choose from numerous subscriptions. You can choose between a fixed or flexible subscription. You can choose an energy and gas offer that also includes gas supply and which will allow you to save in the long term. We help you choose the offer truly suited to your home.

Step 3. Take action. Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today, says an old popular saying. Even if it’s legal, you have until June to change supplier, why wait? Why not take advantage of the lower electricity prices starting tomorrow?

Conclusion

The liberalization of the electricity market has created more opportunities for consumers to choose energy plans that better match their needs and budgets. Even for customers who have not yet switched suppliers, regulatory measures help ensure that they continue receiving fair access to electricity services while providing additional time to evaluate available options. These protections are designed to create a competitive marketplace that benefits consumers through greater transparency, improved pricing, and enhanced service quality.

One of the main advantages of a competitive electricity market is the freedom to compare different suppliers based on pricing, contract conditions, customer support, renewable energy options, and additional services. Rather than being limited to a single provider, consumers can select an electricity plan that best fits their household or business requirements. This competition encourages suppliers to improve their offerings while maintaining high service standards and more attractive pricing.

Regulatory authorities play a crucial role in protecting consumers throughout this process. By establishing clear rules and transitional measures, they ensure that customers continue receiving uninterrupted electricity service even if they have not yet chosen a new supplier. These consumer protection mechanisms provide stability while allowing individuals sufficient time to review available offers and make informed decisions without unnecessary pressure.

Understanding electricity contracts is equally important when considering a supplier change. Consumers should compare not only the advertised price but also contract duration, billing conditions, customer service quality, renewable energy availability, and any additional fees or benefits included in the agreement. Taking time to evaluate these factors can lead to better long-term savings and a more satisfactory customer experience.

The increasing competition within the energy market also encourages innovation. Many suppliers now offer digital account management, smart energy monitoring tools, flexible pricing structures, and environmentally friendly electricity generated from renewable sources. These improvements give customers greater control over their energy consumption while supporting broader sustainability objectives and encouraging more efficient use of electricity.

Ultimately, the opportunity to choose an electricity supplier empowers consumers to make decisions that align with both their financial goals and environmental values. Whether selecting a provider based on lower costs, improved customer service, or renewable energy options, informed decision-making is the key to maximizing the benefits of a competitive energy market. As electricity markets continue to evolve, consumers who actively compare available offers and understand their rights will be better positioned to enjoy reliable service, greater flexibility, and long-term value from their energy contracts.
